Force Applications To Open Maximized

This tip resolves having to always resize the application screen. It will either force it to open maximized,minimized or normal. All that needs to be done is to right-click on the application’s
shortcut icon and select PROPERTIES. Then change the drop down menu next RUN to MAXIMIZED

Resolve ‘The Event Log Is Full’ Error

If you are having this problem there are two methods which you can take. One is to configure Windows to automatically delete the last event log to make space for the newest event log which Windows is trying to write. Secondly you can also simply increase the overall size of the log file

Start by opening WINDOWS EVENT VIEWER. There’s several ways to open the program.

  1. Start==> RUN ==> type ‘eventvwr’ without the quotes
  2. Control Pannel==> Administrative Tools==>Event Viewer
  3. Right click on ‘My Computer’==> Manage==> Event Viewer

The current event log size are display on the right-side of the window.

This has occur to me on numerous occasions where I am chatting with friends and family on the internet, midway through my message I realize I have CAPS LOCK enable. Wish there was a way to notify you that CAPS LOCK is enable? Luckily there is……

To enable a sound notification every time you press CAPS LOCK key, start by opening the ACCESSIBILTIY OPTIONS within CONTROL PANNEL.

Locate Missing USB or External Hard Drives On XP

Ever inserted a USB thumb drive or external hard drive into your computer and realize the device did not appear under MY COMPUTER? Most likely Window has assign it a drive letter which was already assigned to a different device that is in use. The solution is to locate the device under COMPUTER MANAGEMENT and assign it different drive letter not in use.

Disable “Windows Is Checking For A Solution..” Dialog After Program Crash

Initially introduced in Windows Vista, this message is undoubtedly a huge annoyance. Obviously this feature sends application and system crash information back to Microsoft in hopes that a potential fix will be roll out however the pop up is extremely annoying and users typically press CANCEL when the prompt appears. Fortunately Windows 7 allows this feature to be turn off.
