Add ‘Take Ownership’ To Right-Click Menu

There comes a time when you need to tweak system files and folders or just simply take ownership of them. In the past you would have to go inside folder options to do so. This is a waste of time if multiple folders need ownership change. Wish there was a method to just right-click on a folder and take ownership of it? Fortunately there is with this registry tweak. What you end up is the option to take ownership of a folder or file when you right-click on it.

Block Flash In Google Chrome

Flash player and others alike (JAVA, DivX) are softwares use to view videos and animation on web browsers. At the same time, they are horribly insecure which greatly increases the risk of infections while browsing the internet. Luckily for those of us using Google Chrome, there is a built-in feature to minimize this risk. The hidden feature I’m referring to is call ‘CLICK AND PLAY’. This blocks all sites and users can selectively enable Flash on a particular site.

To get started, type ‘ABOUT:FLAGS’ in Google Chrome location bar.This will load the ‘experiments’ page.

IMAP To Yahoo Mail

I wrote a tutorial about this not long ago regarding accessing Yahoo mail via a third party mail clients using POP. Since then there’s were numerous request for an IMAP version. Well, here it is……The difference between IMAP and POP is that IMAP does not actually download the messages to the local machine. It only reads all the emails and retrieve specific contents. POP on the other hand, downloads all the messages from the mail server and stores them locally.

Again, we’ll use Thunderbird as our email client for retrieving mail via IMAP. Refer to the tutorial above about creating a new email account in Thunderbird

Remote Desktop with Dual Monitors

The convenience of having dual monitors and the capability to view multiple documents open at the same time without having to switch back and forth is a luxury some people don’t have. I’ve been using dual monitors setup for quiet some time now and it’s just that much more efficient. This is why I was so ecstatic when I realize RDC supported spanning across multiple monitors.
