Disable User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7
User Account Control (UAC) a preventive measure initially introduced on Windows Vista that was developed with good intentions. The purpose of UAC is to protect Windows from unauthorized changes to the operating system.Undoubtedly it has become more of an annoyance than anything else with its constant permission pop-ups. Fortunately it can easily be disable in Windows 7.
Disabling UAC:
Open CONTROL PANEL by clicking on START ==> CONTROL PANEL.

Format Large External Hard Drives to FAT32
Formatting drives in FAT or FAT32 will allow other operating systems such as Mac, Linux and previous versions of Windows to view and read the drive. Windows can format drives in FAT32
however it has to be done within the DOS command prompt.
To format the drive first open command prompt by going to START ==> RUN == Type CMD/

Add the Links toolbar to My Computer
This handy built-in utility enables users to create shortcuts to their favorite application and or documents and have it readily available from any window at any time. The toolbar is fully customizable.
To enable the Links toolbar simply open ‘My Computer’ and right-click on the toolbar. A menu will appear from which you’ll be able to select and enable the Links toolbar.
