Disable “Windows Is Checking For A Solution..” Dialog After Program Crash

Initially introduced in Windows Vista, this message is undoubtedly a huge annoyance. Obviously this feature sends application and system crash information back to Microsoft in hopes that a potential fix will be roll out however the pop up is extremely annoying and users typically press CANCEL when the prompt appears. Fortunately Windows 7 allows this feature to be turn off.

To turn off the feature in Windows 7, you must access the ACTION CENTER which is mark by a white flag icon on the task bar. Afterward navigate to Change Action Center settings ==> Problem reporting settings ==> Never check for solutions.

Alternatively you can access the ACTION CENTER by typing ACTION CENTER in the search box. Then follow the instructions above to change the desire settings.
